This is a personalized and advanced course for students who have a basic understanding and experience with the color wheel and the three properties of COLOR——HUE, SATURATION AND VALUE and a working knowledge of how to create palettes and know ways of communicating with color. If you have taken Color Level I, Color Level 2, then you are automatically eligible for Color Level III. MUST HAVE experience doing the following: color mixing, painting and composing images with primary, monochromatic color, neutrals, complimentary colors, analogous colors and warm/cool colors, creating palettes that are harmonious, and understanding of the power of value in creating layers, etc. COLOR! COURSE MENTORING starts where MORE COLOR! COURSE leaves off. This is a wonderful course to repeat.

You will gain a deeper understanding and practice:

• How to use color to effectively capture and hold the attention of the viewer

• Continue to explore creating depth and layers in painting with hues and values

• Create your own unique palettes from nature

• Exploring and working with neutrals and tertiary colors

• Learn master palettes

• Slide shows on topics of discussion

• How to create dynamic compositions with color

• Personalized instruction and one-on-one instruction

• Use the potent language of emotions to communicate expressively

• Explore a topic on color for your own unique us

• Place to share artwork and review slide shows and class discussions
